Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) - About The Department

Mission of the Department is to meet employment requirement of private and public sectors as well as to bring qualified stuff in academic life through equipping its students with analytical and inter-disciplinary comprehension skills.

Instructional vision of the Department is to educate its students so as to acquire the ability to question and think critically, to be open to alternative viewpoints and be able to gain teamwork skills. For that purpose, the Department supports interdisciplinary and deepened accumulation of knowledge.

Fundamental objective of the Department is to provide a balanced and multidimensional instruction. In addition to political science, the students are supposed to be capable of making comprehensive research in the fields such as the European Union, theories of international relations, migration and citizenship, foreign policy, political economy, democratization, human rights, equality and social justice, gender and identity politics.
