Students who wish to study in Turkey, need to obtain a Student Visa from the nearest Turkish Consulate in their countries. The most important issue you need to follow up after coming to Turkey is your residence permit and the application process. You need to apply via the official website https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/and hand the necessary documents regarding the application at the International Students Departments Residence Permit Specialist. Students can not bring their documents on their own to the Residence Permit Agency, only their universities can forward their information. Syrian Students are the exception to the rule. With your Residence Permit Card and your Foreigner ID Numbers you can manage all your official transactions while living in Turkey.
Your Residence Permit Card can be used when you travel abroad or come back to Turkey and therefore You will not need a Visa for your turkey travels while it is still valid. It is importnat to renew it before the validity ends.
As a student you only pay fort he card, and are exempt from any additional fees.
