What is Mevlana Exchange Programme?

Mevlana Exchange Programme is a program that makes it possible to exchange students and academic staff between higher education institutions providing education at home and higher education institutions providing education abroad. Dec. August 23, 2011 and published in the Official Gazette No. 28034 with the Regulation published in the Official Gazette of higher education institutions abroad and higher education institutions in our country, the exchange of students and academic staff has been Deconstructed. Unlike other exchange programs, the mobility within the exchange program covers higher education institutions all over the world, without any geographical region distinction. Students who want to participate in the exchange program can benefit from the program for at least one maximum two semesters of education, and faculty members can benefit from the program to teach at higher education institutions around the world for at least 1 week and at most 3 months. Similarly, students and lecturers from all regions of the world can come to higher education institutions in Turkey.

 

The Purpose of the Mevlana Exchange Programme

The primary purpose of the Mevlana Exchange Programme is to ensure the exchange of students and academic staff between higher education institutions providing education at home and higher education institutions providing education abroad. Dec. In this context, the main objectives of the Mevlana Exchange Programme are;

• To make Turkey a center of attraction in the field of higher education,

* To increase the academic capacities of our higher education institutions,

* To contribute to the globalization process of higher education,

* To share the rich historical and cultural heritage of Turkey on a global level,

• To ensure the enrichment of the culture of respect for differences and understanding through increasing Deculturalist interaction.

 

Who Can Participate in the Mevlana Exchange Programme?

Mevlana exchange programme student exchange in Turkey, all higher education institutions (higher education institutions which have signed the Mevlana exchange programme Protocol) enrolled in formal education programs, Bachelor's, master's and doctoral students may participate in. In addition, all academic staff working in domestic and foreign higher education institutions that have signed the Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol can also participate in the Mevlana Exchange Programme. Academic activities of academic staff within the scope of mobility cannot be less than six hours per week in total. Courses are taken as a basis for calculating the activities performed by the instructor in hours. If the class hours do not exceed six hours per week, academic activities such as seminars, panels or conferences are also evaluated in this context. Academic staff mobility, which does not include lecturing activities.
