DOUBLE MAJOR

 

Opening of the Double Major Program, Quota and Application Period

The opening of a double major program among undergraduate diploma programs, which diploma programs students will be accepted from and their quotas are determined by the proposal of the relevant department, the Decisionof the relevant boards and the approval of the senate. Application Requirements

In order to apply for the double major diploma program, the student must meet the following requirements. A major program to the stage where it receives to be successful in all courses in the major program in relation to the relevant class ranking in the top twenty percent reside success in major GPA of at least 3.00 4.00 diploma program to be the first major program of the earliest third, it must be located at the beginning of the semester no later than fifth.

 

Application, Admission and Registration to the Double Major Program

If the student who wants to apply to the double major program meets the necessary requirements, he / she applies to the relevant faculty / college secretariats with a petition along with the necessary documents and application form during the period. Admission of students to the second major diploma program is based on the proposal of the department where this program is conducted and the decision of the relevant faculty board of directors. It is not possible to enroll in more than one second major diploma program at the same time. In the admission of students to the double major diploma program who take students through the aptitude exam, the condition of being successful in the aptitude exam is required. The double major program students, the admission process of the application by the relevant department, faculty and student registration is completed within a week of receipt of the decision of the board for the double major program register.

 

Dismissal from The Program

The request of the student, the relevant faculty board outside an acceptable excuse from the second major program course is to be taken in two consecutive semesters if the student's overall grade point average over once a a double major program may be reduced up to 4 2,50. A student whose GPA falls below 2.50 out of 4 for the second time is deregistered from the second major diploma program. The education period of students who have obtained the right to graduate from the major diploma program but have not completed the second major diploma program may be extended for a maximum of two semesters by the decision of the board of directors of the faculty where the second major diploma program is located.

 

MINOR

Minor programs at our university are finalized with the proposal of the relevant departments, faculty or school administrative board and the decision of the senate. The quotas of the programs are determined by the board of directors, which decides to open the relevant program. A certificate of achievement (minor certificate) is issued to those who have completed minor programs in the field in which they received their education. The dates between which to apply for the minor program and the quotas are listed on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year (Dec.http://www.esenyurt.edu.tr ) is announced.

 

Application Conditions

Applications for the minor program are made to the faculty / college secretariats together with the necessary documents and application form. Applicants; Students may apply to the minor program at the earliest at the beginning of the third and at the latest at the beginning of the sixth semester of the major undergraduate program. Students who have successfully completed all the credit courses in the undergraduate program taken up to the semester they applied can apply to the minor program. The student's GPA in the major program at the time of application must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00. The acceptance process is completed with the proposal of the applied department and the relevant decision of the board of directors.

 

Graduation and Deregistration

The student who is accepted to the minor program has to take the courses determined by the decision of the senate within the scope of the minor program and to succeed in these courses. Only a certificate of achievement (minor certificate) is issued to those who have completed minor programs in the field where they received their education. This document does not replace a diploma. Students who have obtained the right to graduate from the major program but have not completed the minor program are granted an additional period of at most one semester by the decision of the relevant administrative October boards. The success status of the student in the minor program does not affect the graduation in the major program. In the following cases, the student's registration is deleted from the program; In order to continue the minor program, the student's grade point average in the major program must be at least 2.30 out of 4.00. The registration of the student who cannot meet this requirement is deleted from the minor program. The registration of a student who does not take courses from the minor program for two semesters in a row is deleted from this program.
