Vertical Transmission

General Information

Graduates of associate degree programs, distance education and vocational schools and the vocational schools on the continuity of their undergraduate education within the scope of regulation with open Education associate degree program for students who have successfully graduated from a degree to make the transition to vertical testing and placement procedures will be conducted by OSYM. This guide covers the application, application of the exam, evaluation of the exam results and placement principles related to the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) for Undergraduate Education Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs.

 

Application Conditions

Candidates who will apply for vertical transfer to higher education programs are required to have graduated from vocational colleges and open education associate degree programs. Candidates who are in the final year that year and have fulfilled the graduation requirements other than the internship can also apply. Final-year students and graduates of vocational schools of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), as well as candidates who graduated from abroad under the same conditions and whose equivalency is accepted, can also apply to the DGS. Final-year students and graduates of the vocational school must enter the DGS if they want to transfer vertically to undergraduate programs that take students with a special aptitude exam or a centralized system in their field. Vertical transfer to undergraduate programs that take students through a special aptitude exam is also performed centrally according to the principles in this manual. Those who have received or will receive an associate's degree from programs with an academic duration of four or more years, including open education, cannot apply to DGS.

 

Calculation of Points

DGS scores are obtained by multiplying the verbal and numerical standard scores of the candidates calculated from the exam results and the associate degree success scores (ÖBP) calculated from the academic grade point averages they obtained in their associate degree education by multiplying with certain coefficients.

 

Placement Operations

The placement is carried out in a computer environment, taking into account the candidates' DGS scores and preferences, as well as the quotas and conditions of higher education programs.

 

Adjustment Procedures of the Settled Candidates

Students who obtained the right to pursue undergraduate studies universitelerinc accepted as equivalent to the courses they have taken during the undergraduate education and loans given exemption in consideration of the lesson you should take from the program. Students who transfer vertically continue their education in accordance with the provisions of Article 44 of the Law No. 2547.
